Didn't see the post identifying him as a large fowl-so yes, Spangled OEG. He's built much more like a game than he is a Sussex.

That looks like a young speckled sussex. I have a feeling that he looks "gamey" due to his stance. I have a feeling when he's relaxed he may look a lot more like a sussex. You also have to remember that hatchery birds are not always correct to the standard. His partial tail also adds to the slender shape of his body. I bet once he fills in a bit more and grows in his tail, he will look like a sussex.

Here is a link. Most of these are older, more mature birds and several are show quality as well. Take a look at the last couple of pictures though. There are two specific roosters on the left that look like your guy. The first one in shape, and the second one in color.

OEGs have a much more gamey look and his body is just all off. Also, if indeed he was purchased from a hatchery, it is doubtful they would sell spangled OEGs.
