Hi, so this is my beautiful boy Columbia, and I know he is either a silkie or a sizzle, but what baffles me is his color!! He is gorgeous, but I have no idea what color he is. When he was born he was all black with a white spot on his head.... anyone have an idea? Sorry for any blurry photos or chicken selfies:lol: he is very proud of his ridiculously fluffy feet...

He is a Silkie mix. I don't think he classifies as a Sizzle or Silkie. His color is close to Crele. Very interesting rooster!

Thank you! He is a very nice roo too! :) *edit* His parents are either silkie+silkie or silkie+frizzle... The people I got him from had very secluded show chickens, one a show silkie roo, a show silkie hen, and a show frizzle hen.

He definitely is silkie crossed with probably the frizzle hen. Frizzles are usually Cochins with the frizzle gene, which may be recessive. He is very pretty :)

He must be from the silkie roo and the frizzle hen, and since he didn't get the silkie feathers or the frizzle feathers, he's neither...just a mixed breed. Silkie/cochin mix would be the most likely. One parent was barred and likely one parent was reddish--do you happen to know the colors of the parents? With only 2 hens to chose from it shouldn't be hard to narrow it down much. There's no name for his color, it's just a mixed barred. I call them calico barred, I love the tri-colored barred birds.
