Now i am thoroughly confused. i hatched out this chick from one of 21 eggs which were either ancona, blue swedish and saxony. It looks nothing like the others and was the only one of its kind even as a duckling. The bill is a pretty grey.slate blue and while most of the body is white, there are specks of light grey which are becoming more apparent as it ages. Bill color has not changed and head does not seem to be darkening.
Any guesses as to breed/color and/or why it looks so different than I expected?
For reference it (hopefully she regardless of breed/color) is 8 weeks old. Hatched on or about 7/19.

It looks like a silver Swedish (also called Splash) to me. If you cross two blue Swedish probability is 25% chance you get silver, 50% blue, 25% black. Hatcheries cross all silver Swedish if one gender with all black if the other to get the blue Swedish they sell. Usually the girls are so light gray they look white but the boys look light gray like yours.

This makes sense, it hatched from an egg shipped from a heritage farm that had blue swedish ducks and as they are not a hatchery per say, i presume that blue males and females had access to each other. I know however that each breed was kept separate to maintain each breed in its pure form.

I hope it’s a girl though, since it is the only one of the 7 blue Swedish eggs which hatched and survived. I will have to listen to its voice and compare it to the known females and my one drake.

Thank you!!

Quick question about breeding though, just because now i am curious and want to make sure i understand: if bred with another silver Swedish duck i would expect 100% silvers, correct? And then if it was bred with a blue, i would get 50% blue and 50% splash?
I worked it out with my simple punnet square method based on what you said so please correct me if this is incorrect. I do miss genetics problems sometimes.
