Yup, up close I have to agree on Golden Spangled hamburg. If his chest was solid black I would stick to the brown leghorn.

Defintily a roo tho, look at those pretty saddle feathers, a fly tiers dream.

fancyfowl, the breast feathers aren't the only difference on this bird! lol!

The legs of a Leghorn should be a nice yellow color. This bird has dark gray/slate colored legs. Another Hamburg trait.

Ya, I just noticed the slate feet as well.

As for the comb, my rosecomb brown leghorn has the exact same one.

Yes, my dad owns a fly shop and pointed that out. Also my son loves to tye flies and he also mentioned it several times

I took him to meet his new owner in town and he thank me by pecking me twice. My other roo is friendly so far so we shall see.
