BTW-- You can tell a roo from a hen by the pointy hackle feathers (the feathers around the shoulder/neck, and the pointy feathers that lay over the tail/rump area. This can be more reliable than comb size, since some breeds have hens with huge combs.

I agree...Check out the huge comb on my Ancona(pullet) and also the large one on my BR((hen)RIP Bess). But you can tell they are girls by the absence of the pointed and thin saddle and hackle feathers and their feathers are rounded or blunt at the ends. And they really do/did act girly too
