What breed and gender are they?

I just adopted these 3 chickens and I have no idea what breed, gender or age they are. Please help!

Chicken #1 - I'm guessing he's a roo

Chicken #2 - I'm guessing a hen.

Chicken #3 - I'm guessing a hen.

Here's a picture of all three together.

Please help... I'm very interested to know what breed they are, as I have absolutely no clue.

Your guesses on gender are correct, but I don't know breed.

Edit: I'm guessing the white one is a White Rock. Maybe?

BTW-- You can tell a roo from a hen by the pointy hackle feathers (the feathers around the shoulder/neck, and the pointy feathers that lay over the tail/rump area. This can be more reliable than comb size, since some breeds have hens with huge combs.

I think you're probably right on the white rock, and the other two look like mixed breed somethings. You're right on genders.

hmm, first is def a roo, the second def a hen. Buuuuuut, I must say, honestly the last one looks more like a Cornish X Rock to me (meatbird). Ive been raising meat birds for years and it really really looks like one. Could we get a full body pic? If it is a meat bird, I would say its a roo, the combs on meat birds dont normally get that big. Do you know how old it is?

Ooops edited because I Just read that you dont know how old they are! Just wanted to add that you are going to need to do some beak trimming on the first two, theyre bottom beaks are growing longer than the top, which could lead to some problems eating if it gets bad. I use a dremel tool on mine and just grind it off a bit.

You are right about the genders, and the white is probably a white rock. The second pic, the first hen, looks like a mix of an ameraucauna to me.

You're right on the genders, and I'm thinking the male is a NHR (New Hampshire Red) and the female possibly an EE, but possibly a NHR female with some awful pencilling coming through.

The white one, while possibly a white rock, looks like a cornish cross to me too. Her legs are HUGE compared to what they should be at that age for a white rock. They are VERY thick and the feet are ginormous!

I suppose ladychickenwhisperer and mikarod are right about the white chicken being a meat bird (Cornish X Rock), as I rescued them from a slaughter house. However, I'm still unsure what the other two are... Maybe they're mixed?

Also, does anyone know if any of these hens will lay eggs often, if at all? Considering that they're most likely meat birds. Thanks so much again for all the help! I really appreciate it.

The reddish ones don't look much like meat birds, and I bet that girl will give you plenty of eggs. They appear fairly young, as the cockerel's comb and wattles are fairly small, and his hackle and saddle feathers are too pronounced yet. I'm guessing they're not older than 20 weeks.

If the white one is a meat bird, her eggs will most likely be fairly sparse. I've never had one, though.
