What breed and gender is this little guy?

I was told he's a male, but I'm not sure.

Any idea?

Do you know what breed he/she is? It's lacking in the sickle feathers which is something a cockerel has. Do you have any idea's on how old he is or where did you get him? If you got him from a breeder what did the breeder own/raise? These are some questions you might need ask yourself. But for the most part it looks like a Malay/Shamo/Aseel/Cornish group and looks pretty female to me

We just got her from a local farm store in May which would make her 3 1/2 months old. They were sold as straight run bantams

hard to tell- comb kind of looks like a cockerel, but feathering is confusing. Looks like maybe a dark Cornish, but the coloring and tightness of feathering is off, too. I'm stumped.

The only reason I don't think it's a Cornish is because it doesn't look heavy enough. Look at the body of the bird. What may confuse you with these breeds is the way they're heads are formed which actually has nothing to do with gender of the bird. Malay's are know n for their beetle brows.

He looks like a hatchery Dark Cornish cockerel to me. I got one as an Oops rooster this year and am having the hardest time deciding to sell him, they're so darn cute. And he'll make some massive meat babies next year
