what breed and gender is this.

looks like a hen to me also. She looks kinda gamey but the comb is throwing me off. And so is the leg color.

I say mixed breed hen with a rose comb. Does look to have spurs, but as Kooshie stated, hens can have spurs

Also, I agree the saddle feathers do not look pointy. Has it crowed yet? The obvious question

it hasnt had the rooster crow it makes noise if i get close to it but not like the rooster i had when i lived on a farm and the reason it looks gamey is that its a ferrel chicken that got lose some how and i just finally caught it.the hackle feathers have some color but seam rounded and it clucks but doesnt caulkadoadoo.

Looks to me like some sort of game bird.
