What breed AND gender is this??

I thought is was a she until last week......it is 20 weeks old, has never crowed and doesn't have as big of a fluff butt as the other girls. Thought??

Definitely a rooster - see the pointy saddle and hackle feathers, large comb, reddish patches on the wings? All classic rooster traits.

As for breed? Could be a partridge rock.

That's what I was thinking cause of the saddle feathers. Guess he is slow growing. I just got rid of an aggressive cockerel, kept attacking me no matter what......maybe he was scared to show what he was till the other one was gone. Hope I can keep this one nice!

I agree it is probably a roo. Do its feathers have a greenish tinge? Looks a lot like my black stars. They have reddish brown on breast and dark green tinged feathers near their tails.

He has a blue and green sheen on all his feathers.....

looks a lot like the male version of my BSL mix pullet.

The cockerel looks like a BSL X RIR or something like that. My girl is probably BSL X BA
