What breed and gender?

4 1/2 week old hatchery bird, barred rock or cuckoo maran? Also, do you think it’s a cockerel? Turning a little pink already but size of the comb and waddle are the same as the rest of my known pullets. Legs look as yellow as my barred rock pullet and so does the beak, legs have a dark wash down the front. This bird is taller. What do y’all think about breed and gender? Photos of the chick in question, alone and with barred rock pullet.

This chick looks more barred in the photos but the white is not as bright as the known barred rock pullet and looks more cuckoo pattern than barred in person.

Foot bottoms appear yellow. If they are, you have another BR.

Thank you. The plumage pattern is what has me confused, he/she is definitely darker or more grey/murky than the known barred rock pullet but the legs and beak are definitely yellow.

Pullets tend to be darker and have more of a blurred white effect. If she has yellow legs/bottoms of feet - she's a BR.
