What breed and gender?

I think it’s a roo.
I actually do have a cinnamon queen hen and hatched her egg when my roo was a barred mix and she turned out looking a lot like that, the shiny feathers don’t really have anything to do with gender, I have about five hens with iridescent feathers, but I do think that is a rooster, that or a very odd hen.

Here’s the pullet i hatched, she also has black feathers under the red feathers on her tail

look like all hens
I hope it is. I'll post some better pics tomorrow.

Is she a RIR?

My hen? No her moms a cinnamon queen (half RIR half RIW) and her dad was some sort of barred mix.
Yours I’m unsure about… it could be anything, a RIR mix, a cinnamon queen mix, a ISA brown mix… many different possibilities.
So any black roo with a cinnamon queen could make a pattern similar to mine, her mom is next to her on the roost in one of the photos

I know. I've tried to figure out what she is. Best answer I got was she a multi generational mix.
Either way she’s super pretty, maybe once she starts laying egg color will help you find out,
I’ve never been too worried about breed, it is nice to know though, she looks like she could lay green eggs, maybe an OE? But without the fluffy cheeks

Oh. I see.
