Can anyone help me identify what breed(s) this goose might be?

The lady I bought him from mentioned American Buff and Embden in her flock.

She thinks he is a gander based on attitude but isn’t certain. If he is indeed a gander and I have myself a goose, what colored offspring could I expect?

That's a really pretty goose. Not sure on the breed mix, but if that's what she has in her flock than I would assume that's the mix. I think it's probably a male as well. Does it honk like a male?

So do all embden have the dilute gene? I need some if that's true.
I’m no expert on goose genetics but according to that article white is the result of two dilution genes, if only one is inherited then the result is a partial effect with the bird being a light grey. I could be wrong though 🤷‍♀️

Thank you.

My guess would be Diluted Blue Split for the color. The color on the noise is the split white, The shading is Blue, the light color is the dilution. Lots of color potential with off spring. If bread to the buff in the picture you could end up with lilac.
Thank you! A lot of color variety is what I was hoping for :ya

Goose coloring is just to much fun. Backyard Geese are special. With my runners I get Lilacs every spring there not show quality (because of the color) but I always have a waiting list for the color. There beautiful and everyone wants them and there arnt enough to go around. Have fun with the colors. Once you have the blue coloring it is all guess work.
