What breed and gender?

Where did you get them? I'm sorry if you intended to get pet chickens or eggs layers. This is definitely not a breed recommended for pets.

Yes, they're typically bred to get huge and process at a very young age. There are people that have been able to "save" these types of birds by limiting their food intake but their quality of life is pretty bad because they have heart issues and can't get around very well.
I don't know, just a local store. My aunt bought them for me

What do I do with them? I'm so sad rn:(
I'm really sorry it seems that you ended up with these. Some people do because the signs will say something like Cornish Cross, but not have "meat bird" or "broiler" or any specific wording that tells unfamiliar people what their purpose is.

Some people will try to keep them as pets by limiting food intake or whatever. That's a personal choice, of course. I feel that it is inhumane to try to raise a meat bird beyond the recommended slaughter age. They get too big and can have some major health problems that cause then pain and leave them with no quality of life until they ultimately die. Not saying don't try if you feel that you want to, this is just my personal opinion.

It's understandable if you wouldn't want to process them, but you could probably give them to someone who will do it humanely and would use them for food for their family.

Again, I'm really sorry, and I hope you're able to make the best decision for yourself and the birds. :hugs

Yes, my aunt told me that we'll give them away to our struggling neighbour once they're of proper age. I don't want to handle them anymore now that you've mentioned how it's inhumane since, if I were a meat bird, I would also prefer to be slaughtered than to suffer and live. I guess I'll just buy a different bird or chick breed in the future. Thank you for this!

This might be option, you could list in Buy/Sell/Trade and see if someone has layers they'd trade for them.
