I bought 6 chicks from a hatchery. These birds are 4 months old now. They were supposed to be 2 Lav Orpington, one of which a rooster, I think thats correct. The rest hens, 2 white rock and then speckled sussex. I just realized I think one of the white rocks is a rooster, is that correct?
And these other two are hens, but they're not speckled sussex. They're clearly not even the same breed lol. Any idea what they are?
If I have 10 hens, do I need to get rid of a rooster if there are two? I've never had a roo.

One of the white rocks definitely appears to be a rooster. I agree with the other poster: two pullets-one facing left in its solo pic looks like a brown leghorn, and the one facing right in its solo pic looks like a golden laced wyandote. You do not necessarily have to get rid of your second rooster. If the two have grown up together they may continue to get along. It depends on their individual personalities, the amount of space they have available, and what-not. If they're getting along now and you would like to keep them both, then just monitor their behavior. Be prepared to separate them should you have to though.

You are all on it! Thanks!

I'm not sure why I couldn't see Wyandotte... duh lol. Might have thrown me off because shes about half the size she should be???

Welsummer looks like the second one, thanks!

And I have no idea why its taken me so long to realize this but both of my Lavenders are Roosters too. I just ran back outside and snapped a pic after thinking about this post. Yup. OK SO 3 roosters and NO purple eggs! :(

I feel real dumb right now... Of all of the chicks we've gotten over the years I have never purposely bought a roo or accidentally gotten one in the box from Tractor Supply. Now I order from a hatchery and have nothing that I ordered. I just wasn't looking for roosters and somehow missed this until today! Oh boy.

Oops, missed the absence of white ears. Agree it's a welsummer.
