What breed are my ducklings?

I'm no duck expert, but your solid yellow one doesn't look like our Blue Swedes. Our Blue Swedes are, well, blue! Or gray, anyway, even as ducklings. The coloring darkens and solidfies as the feathers come in, but the ducklings are very definitely gray with a yellow bib, right out of the hatchery box.

The ducklings that we've had that have been solid yellow have been either Pekins or Buffs. Our Pekins were a very light, clear yellow, and our Buffs are a bit darker and a more golden yellow.

Could yours be one of those?

I raise blue sweds, and I've had way over 50 in the past 6 years. I have had many come out that color, so I know not to count Swed off the list just yet. I guess I'll have to wait and see what color feathers he gets. I've only raised Blue Sweds, Rouens, and Mallards, so I really don't know what he could be. Buffs would be interesting, and so would a pekin!

His feet aren't pink or yellow like the rest though though. They are a greenish-grey color. And I have no idea how to explain the feathers on the legs. Will they be permanent or as he grows will they go away?

Well leg feathers is a known, not common, defect of Sweds. and a few other breeds...Pure white birds are sometimes the result of Ancona parents. Generally no one would breed from a white bird because Ancona are supposed to have that "broken" pattern and the white bird might dilute it.

The sweds that have hatched out that color all became a very light grey, or white color. I can't wait to see what this little guy really is. Here's a pic of him:

I can't see the face of the one but it might be a Welsh Harlequin. Feathers on the legs are actually fairly common in them, surprisingly. There is a term for it but I've forgotten! Stubs? I'd have to see its face to make a better guess.

The other three are probably either mis-marked Magpies (Anconas), or...Anconas. They're virtually one and the same or were, at one point in time.

Now I see the pic of the single and my guess of Welsh has been thrown out the window. Might be an unmarked Magpie or Ancona. It does seem to have slight aura of darker colored down like Welsh have but its bill appears to be too wide and not dark enough. Eh...just a guess!
