What breed are my girls?

Wow, I'd like to know which hatchery produced a brown egg laying "easter egger" and a brown egg laying Leghorn! I assumed they were backyard mixes and the person had a Welsummer rooster with assorted hens.

Ya, like I said, they were labeled as wellsummer for the younger one for sure and if I am remembering right, austrolop for the older one although I may not be totally remembering right as I have several breeds but I was questioning that as they grew and even more as they started laying. Nothing at the store had anything about any leghorn as I was staying away from white eggs completely at the time but I really question what I got as birds for these 2 now. All the other ones I got seem true to their "labeled" breed but these 2 both really are throwing me. Funny thing is they were bought over a year apart but from the same place.

Australorp chicks are black and white, look like little penguins. These would have looked like little chipmunks. That was probably the store's mistake when hanging signs. But the white earlobes on your "Welsummer" are a Leghorn trait. I'd heard that Ideal crossed Leghorn into their Welsummers to improve production and destroyed their dark egg color in the process but that's the most positive proof I've seen for outcrossing evidence.

Yup, it was definitely chipmunk like, I just found a pic of the older one when it was "day old". Not sure which of the 2 chipmunk looking ones it was when little but it was definitely one of these 2
