What Breed Are My Packing Peanuts??

Some of my New Hampshires were actually yellow and went through a buff phase before becoming a dark copper. The funny thing is that what was supposed to be all males turned out to be more than half female. So, you may yet have some females. I was told that when they have extra they just use straight run and don't bother to sex the chicks for bargains and packing peanuts.

My first order from Ideal had BRs as packing peanuts and then the next order had the same as yours. We kept one BR becasue he really impressioned himself deeply to my daughter... Gave the rest of the PPs away to a local here.

Id say Production Reds

So if they are straight run, maybe I will just hang on to them until the are old enough to crow

I don't mind keeping them around, just know if they all turn out to be males, I don't need 7 more roos LOL

I ordered in some golden sebrights and some full size dark cornish 3 weeks ago from ideal and my packing peanuts looked identical to yours. Anyone hop over to their site and check out the red broilers? Mine looked like yours but are larger than my cornish are now. Just my 2 cents worth.

I ordered from Ideal last Feburary. I got 12 chicks as packing peanuts just like yours. All males. All VERY rowdy RIR. We kept all of ours up to 16 weeks and then had them butchered. They are very tasty.
