What Breed are these 2 Chickens?

In the gallery images are 2 chickens and I would like to know a little about them. One is Pic of the Week 2004-feb07. The other is Pic of the Week 2003-feb16.. One is on Page 3 and the other page 6. Thanks for your help and anything you know about these 2 chickens and their characteristics would be very much appreciated. Cindy

The one on page 3 is a Silkie. I can't tell from the other picture what the second one is, though. Silkies are bantams, they aren't prolific layers and go broody ALOT!

I plead ignorance. Speckledhen, what does go broody alot mean.

Going broody a lot means you have a bird that may sit and hatch several times a year.
