Agree with junebuggena, the roo looks like a marans. He has some horrible feather issues. If you're considering buying him, check for mites and lice, and don't buy him if you see any.

I'd say the hen is probably an australorp mix. Possibly a black sex-link. BSL's tend to have a lot of black on their combs.

Cam you tell me wha breed this chick is. I have two of them and they are smaller than all of the others. They are about 3 weeks old. It has feathers on its legs, a little bit of barring on the wings and a regular comb

Not barring, that's juvenile partridge-type patterning. And too young to be certain of breed. Could be a Marans, Brahma, or Cochin.
