What breed are these little guys?

A friend recently passed two chicks on to me, after becoming discouraged with her attempt at raising them (she started with 6 chicks and these are the survivors). She could not remember what breed they are - can someone help me out with identifying them? Also if you're able, the gender?

Do you know where she got them? If they're from a hatchery or feed store, I'd say probably barred rocks.

Are their legs pink? If so then they’re cuckoo Marans. If yellow, barred Rocks.
