So I got my chooks for free from a care facility for people with MS. Apparently chickens make fantastic therapy animals, but i'm sure we all thought that already

That sure is the effect they have on me! Anyway, at the time I didn't think to ask many questions but now I'd like to know what breed these two are? I'm pretty sure the other is a silkie, so I won't wother posting pics of her - it's pretty obvious!

You know what, I never considered that, but reading the description of them it sounds just like her! Below average layer, poor vision, prone to being bullied... They should add "extremely loving and affectionate" to that list too though!

Thanks for that. Any other votes for Polish X or thoughts on our other lovely lady?

first one looks like a polish x cochin mix and the 2nd with its black skin and all looks like a silkie x cochin mix

Yeah, they are all such nice chooks! The one everyone thinks is a polish X, called Frog, has made such a good adoptive mother and just loves cuddles and just hanging out together

She's lost a bit of condition with the chicks though, poor dear used to be rather plump!
