Yes the one on the right is a BO, but the one on the left...
Broody Buff Minorca! (notice the chick behind, also ntice the white earlobe)

I saw the two eating together, and Minorca (yes, that's her name) looked just like a BO, what with her feathers sticking out and all, that I grabbed my camera and thought I would try to foll yeh!!!

Ha Ha!!

no Fizzy its not. It's a mature hen. Do you see any pointy saddle/hackle/sickle feathers? I think not.

Chickencharmer - I had a feeling something was up but I guessed anyway

I knew the minorca wasn't a BO because of the tail, but I guessed it anyways. Congratz on the broody.

Yeah, the BO's name is Clara, and she is about 3-4 years old (and is by all means not a roo). She's not very old, I guess by chicken standards, but she acts very old. She always stands around with the other oldies, she's pretty stiff when she runs, and she pretty much never lays eggs, but I very infrequently find shell-less eggs where they sleep. This has been going on for about a year and a half. If I didn't know, I would guess her to be really old biddy. But she is only 3!

Is this normal??
