I called Tractor Supply this morning, she thinks they are meat chickens not layer. I sure hope she's wrong. She also thought the black ones were Dominiques but they don't have any other color but black. The other ones are yellow.

My Dom's were all black as itty bitty babies.

That sign you shared is for Production Reds, which are a dual-purpose bird, for meat or eggs. They are a commercial hybrid of Rhode Island Reds, bred for egg production.

Im going to have to guess that this bin of production reds had the wrong chicks in it.
Unless Production reds come in black and white colors to.

I think you may have to just play the dreaded(imo) "wait n see" game.

The hatcheries don't keep a record of what they sent 2 weeks ago, unfortunately.

Got it -- those photos don't look like Production Reds, no. What store did you buy them from?
