You think the chick is a rooster? I always thought it was a hen. "She" took care of some younger abandoned chicks before she died...

Wow. I wonder what would drive him to nurture the abandoned chicks at such a young age? He's the opposite of his mother who never sits on the eggs and wants to kill every chick in the flock...
