What breed are we and when will we lay eggs?

My water fowl IE ducks and geese get corn regularly. they have a very high metabolism compared to chickens. They also have a layer of fat over there bodies that chickens don't have. They need the extra sugars and starches in corn to maintain. Corn for chickens won't hurt them but they also don't need it if your Pellets are good quality.
I little now and then is alright for a treat. They like it!
Chris They will do just fine if you are feeding corn. But cut it out and I'll bet your egg production goes up. I take it from your post you are raising Show birds? You should be feeding corn. It will put weight on them and help feather quality. The oils in corn will add shine to them.

Advice drop the crack corn ,feed only layer, and if sure of age you will have eggs within two week.

Birds would rather eat grain(crack corn) than man made pellet of layer....but the layer is all they need.

corn doesn't feeding much crack corn will cut down on eggs. Seen it many time ,yep lot cheaper price ,but less egg production.

Did you feed them crack corn as a grower, that may be reason they look young...slow growth with corn in place of grower.
