What breed are we and when will we lay eggs?

I think the first one looks like a rir, second a white leghorn, 3rd Buff orpington and 4th of course is an ee and will be the last one to lay. EE's take forever to produce that first blue egg...The last ee hen I had took her almost 40 weeks of age to lay an egg. Your other girls will start before tooo long.

Two years ago I had 13 hens. My EE was the first to lay at 20 weeks. My Silver Laced Wyandottes didn't start until they were at least 21 weeks, if not 22 weeks. Good luck. I would say that you should be getting eggs by now. Are they free ranged? Could they be hiding eggs? They do look young though, so if you are sure of the hatch date...

Yes I am feeding them laying pellets now. I hope they start before long. Thanks

At what age did you put them on Layer Feed, and what is the protein amount of the Layer Feed?

\\Thats the reason they are not laying...i would feed only a 18% layer. Any pullet at 26 weeks should be fed layer.

I have seen this many times, putting them only on the layer 24/7 will have them laying........my guess within 2 weeks

Chris, except for the production red they look healthy enough, the EEs have nice shiney coats. None of them look ready to lay quite yet and don't look that old, very odd to look younger than they are, but i wouldn't worry, i think they are healthy
