What breed do you think she is?

This girl was gave to me a couple of weeks ago because she was said to be more docile and kept getting attacked. I was told she’ll probably lay brown eggs when she does start laying, but I’m curious what breed she is or maybe a mix of? she seems flighty/skiddish, but ok once you get her in your arms!

Thank you!! Also, I’m new to all this! How do you get them to trust you? I’ve been sitting in her pen with her when I feed her and she seems to be coming around a little more.. she still don’t really want to be handled.

That's the best way. It takes time. Chickens have different personalities just like people, so she may never be cuddly, but in time she may trust you enough to take food out of your hand or sit on your lap.

I actually got her to eat out of the dish I was holding today!!!! We’re making progress
