What breed do you think?

I would say American Bulldog x Labrador. Her muzzle's chunky. We had a Pittbull x Labrador and her muzzle was tiny. Your dog is much more robust. She's gorgeous. Congrats

I think what you have there is what my family calls a Bloxer, but in the "designer breed" realms, it would be a "Boxador". A boxer/lab mix. Google Boxador and see how your beautiful girl measures up to the designer breed.

I happen to have a boxer/lab mix, thanks to my female boxer being a trollop. She hooked up with the lab across the road and she had eight puppies. We kept one, and although he has deep brown fur, he looks a great deal like your baby.

Have you asked your vet? Usually, they have a pretty good ability to nail it.

Whatever she is, she is splendid!

Did you ever check her bite? I was really curious to know how that turned out.

Here is some info from a book I own on dog genetics. I left off some stuff and only copied what could apply to your girl. It will help you decide what she is (mostly, what she isn't for sure) if one parent is American Bulldog. For example, we know that she didn't have a black Lab as a parent because black is dominant to white.

DOMINANT RECESSIVE
long head short head
large or long ear small/short ear
low set ear high set ear
coarse skull fine skull
short foreface long foreface
dark eyes light eyes (ur girl is def. light)
brown eyes blue eyes
short coat long coat
high set tail low set tail
heavy bone light bone
deep chest shallow chest
light pigment dark pigment on skin of white dog
good bite overshot or undershot
straight tail kinked or bent tail

I wouldn't be suprised if your girl is only american bulldog, perhaps just a poorly bred one.

I checked her teeth and she actually has a level bite, not scissors or underbite (though one site said a level bite is actually an "expression of underbite".

There is definitely a Harlequin Dane look to her. Especially something about the length of the face and the eyes. I'd say it's a Dane /Bully cross. Body looks Bully-ish... but those eyes... I've never seen a Bully with lazy soft eyes like that. They always have those small, alert eyes with a really taught face. I definitely think there's Dane in there somewhere... IMO

i stick with at least part american bulldog. And there's still that high possibility that the other half of her isn't purebred and therefore she is 3 breeds or maybe more. I don't think she has pit, and I really don't think she has dalmation. I'm a vet tech so I see my share of dogs.

A few months ago there was a client at my hospital whose german shep got pregnant by a pug (these dogs find a way!! LOL). There was a huge litter and all the pups took the pug's coat and color. For the most part, the puppies turned out to be almost as big as mom, nowhere near pug size. There was not enough curliness to the tails to give away the pug parent. The muzzles and wrinkles were inbetween the parents and varried from pup to pup...kinda like how a Puggle turns out. If one didn't know what the parents where, I think most people would have guessed the puppies to be a mastiff mix.

I say pit and dalmation-there was a dog of this mix on the Dog Whisperer the other night that looked just like your dog.

Glowworm, I agree with you about the dalmation. I don't think her coloring can at all be attributed to dalmation. Dalmations generally have an even spread of black spots over their whole bodies, in fact large patches are considered a bad thing. The large patches she has along with the black spots that are on her skin but not in her hair don't say dalmation at all to me. When she was at the vet last week he said he could definitely see her being an Am. Bull mix but like all the rest of us, has no way to be certain, lol.
