What breed & gender am I?.? (Bought as Barnevelder)

Hi there,

I'm new to the forums and learnt so much from you all already!
In mid November we purchased some pure bred week old chicks, which were sexed (but not guaranteed of course).
Sadly our two Belgian D'uccle babies are both roos and where we live (suburban Melbourne, Vic, Australia) we are unable to keep them. We're working on new homes for them currently.

However, one of my big girls, purchased as a Splash Barnevelder is so incredibly different to my Gold laced Barnevelder (purchased at the same time from same breeder) that I'm doubting both breed and gender

Currently 9 weeks old and here are some pics. Have included one pic of my GL Barne for comparison. So keen for your thoughts!! TIA

I agree with the @black_cat. That is the orang-est chicken I think I’ve ever seen lol. Maybe a New Hampshire? Or some sort of production red?

New Hampshire reds have yellow legs.

Orange is a boy. Darker one is a girl.

Orange cockerel (young cockerel). Dark laced pullet (young hen).

I do not know what breeds.

Thanks for your responses so far everyone. Confirmed my suspicions and yes I'm stumped on breed of the orange cockerel!!

Any clue as to why he’s lacking tail feathers? He’s lookin pretty sparse back there
