I was gonna be a smart aleck and post pics of the eggs I just got for hatching - but can't find my camera ( I blame the teenagers - they are always taking it).
Anywho - i was just wondering if anyone knows a good site to look at PICTURES of different breed eggs? And can same breed eggs be slightly different shapes? - as in maybe one is more an elongated oval and one slightly fatter?

Thanks to all the knowledgeable peeps out there!

It's almost, if not completely, impossible to tell what kind of chicken you have by looking at the eggs only. You'll only know if they are white layer, or brown layers, bantams, or full size. You can tell maran and araucanas. Of course, you now have Easter Eggers and Americauna/Araucanas, so it's even hard to tell that for sure. Guess your just gonna have to wait for a hatch.

What color egg do marans have? that was one of the breeds listed. I know several of them are a really pretty "silver ameraucanna" rooster that has been bred with wellsummer and "brown red hens" i.e. EE's. The other breeds listed are salmon faverolles:fl, partridge silkies:fl penendescas. and a "red brown ameraucana" rooster bred with blue, blue wheaten.and buff hens. These apparently lay "olive" colored eggs - and I have like 4 of them. This lady was awsome in that I won 2 + extra eggs and she sent 4 dozen. Sheesh and I thought being pregnant 9 months took forever - 21 days is even worse!
