In large fowl, i've heard Brahmas.. in bantams, i've heard D'anvers (changed from D'uccles).. but there will always be those individuals.

D'Uccles...HECK no.

My lavender/self-blue D'Uccle was the loudest thing I'd ever heard.

My Langshan on the other hand...he's the quietest crow I've ever heard. Aside from the Barred Rock who has yet to crow.

My brahmas are not quiet. They are the youngest ones and they are crowing just as much as the oldest guys. That is true though about individuals of breeds being louder and quieter then others.

From what I understand the freezer chicken is supposed to be the quietest roos.
