Another rescue, this little fella found his way to the woods outside Egg Well Farms. I said, "What's this guy's story?" The ladies couldn't catch him with food but they managed to lure him with wimminz. When I held him, he cuddled right up to me, he was in beautiful health (and Hubby liked that he was free LOL) so we took him home. Gus Gus now has 4 of his very own girls...such a ladies' man... ;) We still have no idea what he is!

I should mention he is small, though not as teeney as 9Volt, our OEGB couch roo. All the girls are bigger than him, even Mollie who is 1/2 Silkie. Pearl the Brahma is his favorite and you never saw a funnier couple. She's followed him like a puppy from day 1! (Need to get a pic of that ;) )

Looks like a Belgian Bearded D’Uccle mix.

I bet you're right, he's gotten more of a beard since we've had him, and that just threw me even more!

Sounds like Gus Gus has it made in the shade. Lucky boy, and very nice of you to adopt him.
I agree that he looks like a D'Uccle mix.

I'd say d'Uccle mix as well.

Agree with D'Uccle mix or at least color mixed.
I'd be careful about bringing home "in beautiful health" birds and not quarantining them though.

    D'uccle bantam

I would just randomly guess a Mottled crossed with a Buff Columbian. I don't know genetics though. The black may be way dominant over the buff, making it pretty dark. @The Moonshiner
