Just curious, I've been told a dominecker but I think he may be something else.

Also I am new here and new to raising chickens. Just inherited 14 hens and this guy from my mom.

Nope, not a Dominique. Looks like a Black Star (also called Black Sex-Link) rooster, or a poor quality Barred Rock/Barred Rock mix.

Not a Dominique. He's probably either a Barred Plymouth Rock mix (or a hatchery-quality one), or a Black Sex-link.

Cool deal! I know he is huge! Almost 2x as tall as my hens! I'd guess at least 8-10lbs easy. Thank you guys and gals!!!!!!
