So which breeds and color variations do you think are most dominant right now?

Tell us which breeds you're constantly ravaging at with eager hands.

Tell me the what you want to see in your chicken coop right now.

I'll make the charts according to how many people want a certain breed/color variation.

1.] Lavender and Porcelain Color variations (right now, mainly in Orpingtons and silkies)
    2.] Mille Cochins
    3.] Coronation Susex
4.] Black Copper Marans (especially with dark egg laying capability)
    5.] Blue Marans

    1.] Seramas
    2.] Marans
    3.] Cochins
    4.] Silkies
    5.] Frizzles/sizzles/show girls

    1.] Sex-Links
    2.] Rhode Island Reds
    3.] Orpingons
    4.] Easter Eggers
    5.] Barred Rocks

Make sure to post what you think! [IMG]

Lavender Orpingtons is pretty high on the list OR any lavender breeds.

    Black Copper and Blue Marans

Those are the ones I can think of breedwise at this point.

I've noticed a lot of the blue color variations are a lot more wanted than anything else. I think we just like to see something new and cool looking. [IMG]

MilleFleur Cochins are pretty popular right now.

Probably cause they are a 'new' thing. [IMG]

With the change in the weather and molting egg production has dropped substantially for many of us. So I think the most popular chicken would be ones that are laying [IMG]

Depending on what you raise for...

We raise for egg production/hen sales.
So in our area Austrolorps are the most popular.

My guess is the most popular one are the ones I don't want. Maybe that is why I am having such a hard time trying to find White Dorkings, White Houdans, or RC Rhode Island Whites, and always White Silkies. Whats Wrong With White?
