What breed is in high demand right now?

I would have to say
BCM that have good conformation and dark egg laying ability (hard to find)
Lavender Orps
Coronation Sussex (Trio's go for close to a thousand dollars)
Light Sussex and Buff Sussex (young trio's go for 200-300 dollars)
anything lavender or isabelle porcelain especially silkies
Mille Fleur Cochins are popular right now

From what I've seen, most common chicken breeds are Buff Orps, Barred Rock, Sex-Links, and EEs. As for popular I think the Marans, Cochins, and Seramas are in. I sold a GSL to a woman in my area, and she couldn't get over the fact that it had a "collar"

Her husband was so stunned by my silkie that they got a few themselves. I assume they're new to chickens. I guess anyone would be amazed by the quantity and diversity of breeds out there. Just check out Feathersite; they've got hundreds!

I dont know about anyone else but I just went to this site and saw a buff barred........I had no idea there was such a color but It is really awesome!
