Black birchen Marans is kinda what he look like to me.

Where did he come from, a hatchery, back yard, etc? Background info is sometimes useful.

His dad has a bit more grey bottom and not quite as big. His parents came from a hatchery, he hatched out in an incubator. The mom possibilities are the pictured hens that she had.

Good call on the Cochin cross, I think!

That lighter grey color is how blue can look. That cream.. would be leakage. The hens look like Easter Eggers and/or olive eggers.
