My only guess is sultan, or a very incorrect Silkie. How many toes do sultans have, anyway?? I might have to narrow my guess down to Silkie....

Sultans have 5 toes on each foot.

I have seen a few over the years from hatcheries not breeders.
I haven't seen them in person just in threads like this one.

Well this one came from Atwoods Farm and Ranch and they get them from Ideal. I even looked on the Ideal website and couldn’t find a match.

I’d be thrilled if it is actually a silkie. That was what I wanted but settled on this one since they didn’t have any. I bought 2 Silkies together about a month ago but one didn’t make it unfortunately. All of my other chickens are clean legged and I’ve read if one has feathered legs that it’ll get picked on unless there is another with feathered legs.

My feather legged birds have not been picked on by the clean legged birds.

I think it depends on individual birds being more pesty about picking at anything "different".

I hope that’s the case with mine. I have a Golden Laced Wyandotte bantam that is a picker but she isn’t head hen so maybe she will quit. Otherwise she will be going to chicken jail when I introduce the Silkie and this one until she can act right lol
