What breed is my big boy?

alright so we got chickes from a friend who shipped them to us last summer. They where supposed to be all pullets but it turned out we had 2 roosters in the mix. One of them, however, mysteriously died a few months ago but it looked identical to the one in this pic. He is a mix and pretty agressive (although i have still fallen in love with him). But before he turned agressive i used to snatch him up and carry him with me. Although i only did it once or twice and boy was he heavy! Anyways i am really courious as to what breed he is, wondering if anyone could tell me, thanks!

He looks like he could be a Buckeye, or a mixed breed bird. Hard to say.

As mine isn't a mixed breed he is an Easter egger so if this helps you could compare colors his name is Fred
