Hello!
So we recently took in another dog, he’s only 9 months old. He currently weighs 40lb and shouldn’t get any bigger. He is a reddish color and white with green eyes.

Now I think I know what he is already but my husband disagrees with me. So I want some other opinions to help settle it.

What breed does he look like to you or what mix? Thanks!

I was curious about my rescue dog. Was told he was a Cairn Terrier/Yorkshire Terrier cross from the shelter. My curiosity led me to get the Wisdom Panel DNA test for dogs. My dog is pure breed chihuahua on one side of his family and chihuahua/miniature poodle/and various terrier, small dogs, sporting dogs on the other side. The amounts of those various breeds were too small to pin down. Comes out to 62.5% chihuahua, 12.5% miniature poodle, and the last 25% is a Heinz 57 variety. I can see the chihuahua in him. His head shape could be chihuahua. Never would have dreamed the miniature poodle. Sporting dogs were just not even considered as he weighs a whopping 10 pounds.

Whatever his genetics, he is a wonderful dog. He's happy to be here. I am happy to have him. I am sure you are enjoying your dog no matter what he is too.

Thank you guys!

That’s what I was told he was and I see it myself too, but for some reason my husband thinks he has German Shepard in him?! I’m about ready to get a dna test and prove it! Haha!
