Let me preface by saying this is only a guess, but I think it's a blue runner. I am not familiar with breeds of ducks other than the ones that I own and sadly I don't have any runners, yet. The experts will know and the other member that's posting may be an expert as well.Do you think they are like a mix of two different ducks?
From my experience the beaks will change color when they start becoming mature. When exactly probably depends on the breed, I know my kahki drakes beaks changed after they were fully feathered and had their drake feathersI’m new to ducks too so it may be male you think?
I got some baby pictures of it if you like to see themLet me preface by saying this is a guess, but I think it's a blue runner
I got two khaki ducks and they are all feathered out can you tell me other ways to tell their gender? From my experience the beaks will change color when they start becoming mature. They are from Hoover’s hatchery, I don’t think anything they have is really pure bred, and they don’t really pay attention to birds throwing mutations or non breed standard chicks. I have a kahki with a small crest (my pfp). That’s not something bred for nor is it standard.Do you think they are like a mix of two different ducks?
One of my Swedish Blue Bibbed from McMurray Hatchery looked like this.Tractor supply and I got 6 ducks in total
