@TooManyFrogs Newly metamorphosed froglets and toadlets are everywhere at this time of year. There will be way more than the environment can support; most will not make it to adulthood, In the meantime, the only thing that really will be impacted is your local bug population
Incidentally, we have several Green Tree Frogs that are permanently camped out in the shady side of our house. By day, they look like 2" long green bumps on the siding; they have their feet tucked under themselves to minimize moisture loss. At night, they hunt the bugs that are drawn to the light in the windows. Some are obviously males; we hear occasional outbursts of "wank, wank, wank!" all night long.
