I bought his hen as a chick at Wilco. The brooder was marked Dominant Copper, but I’m pretty sure she’s not. Can anyone tell me what breed she is?

I've had sapphire gems, and their faces were not black. They also had bluer feathers.I have to agree this one looks most like a Sapphire Gem. They lay large brown eggs.![]()
That is true, and eyes not so dark..I've had sapphire gems, and their faces were not black. They also had bluer feathers.
Their colors can vary as they are a hybrid and they can be very light blue all the way to very dark blue. All blue birds can have darker faces. Not saying it’s a sapphire gem 100% but it definitely looks like one to meI've had sapphire gems, and their faces were not black. They also had bluer feathers.
