i suspect he has some cream legbar in him. this is a green egg laying breed also. i got EEs from Marti years ago and a number of them had this barring in them. I suspect they mixed them trying to stregthen the green egg laying.

Thank you to all that say my new "boy" is pretty! He is, I agree.

Hubby brought him home.. a friend gave him to us! Woohoo! He's young and just learning the ropes. When the girls went inside to roost last night he flew over the chicken fence!

We had to catch him (no easy feat!) and put him in the roost with the hens and then block the door. (Who has to block a door to make a man stay in with the ladies all night??

) This morning when he came out he was crowing all over the place! LOL
