Looks like a RIR to me

What pattern do you feel the wing feathers should have at that age? What part is undesirable? Do you raise Rhode Island Reds?
Their wings are supposed to be solid red. However, that's not relevant because you were right, those wing markings are common in Rhode Island reds. One of the parents may have had that trait.
What is irrelevant? Are you familiar with the Rhode Island Red breed? Adult Rhode Island Reds have black in their wings. It is a defect if their wings are solid red.
Hello! I have a cross breed here. My Buff Orpington hen decided to hatch some eggs recently and this is my only pullet. I know 100% the father is a Rhode Island Red. But I don't who is the mother? I have Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, Easter Eggs, Gold Laced Wyandotte, Buff Orpingtons, Buff Brahma, Black Sex Link, and Red Sex Link.
I know the Easter Eggs lay green eggs and there actually was one chick hatched from a green egg. I have 3 chicks, one died a few days after hatching. I'm not sure who is who. I assume my cockerel chick is the buff Orpington/RIR mix because he's just a golden red color.
Adult Rhode Island Reds have black on their primaries and secondaries, but not on their coverts. When the wing is folded, it appears solid red. This chick's markings don't match the standard markings of Rhode Island reds. If this bird was shown as a Rhode Island Red, it would be disqualified or marked down. You were right to begin with when you said that markings like this are common in Rhode Island reds. I agree with you about the wing markings, although I do not agree that this is a pure Rhode Island Red.
Have you ever seen a Rhode Island Red from hatch to maturity? This chick is displaying the typical markings of a Rhode Island Red. What variety and what breed do you have?
I have raised Rhode Island reds in the past, for egg production. Do you have Rhode Island reds? I don't think this is a pure Rhode Island Red, and I am interested in knowing why I am wrong.
Which line of Rhode Island Red did you have? Yes, I have Rhode Island Reds. Why don't you think this is a pure Rhode Island Red? Of the choices, the only two logical choices of mother really are Rhode Island Red and Red Sex link. Of those two, it looks more like a Rhode Island Red. Are you wanting to know how I eliminated the other mothers?
