What breed is my ROO?

THAT’S RIGHT!! I was beginning to think no one read that part! Anybody know why the comb flops to one side?

Lol I didn't even see that part of the post, sorry about that.

Floppy combs don't come from just one source.

Sometimes the sheer size of the comb causes it to bend under it's own weight (especially if it's thin and high).
In the case of commercial chickens, they grow pale and flop over from lack of sunlight, and a very poor diet.
In some chickens, if they spend time under objects (like a low coop) while their comb is growing, it kind of gets smooshed that way.
You can also have flopping combs from a bird undergoing extreme stress like a bad moult or disease.

So at the end of the day, if he's getting a good diet and isn't sick, it's just how he is.

Well I'm new to chickens and now I’m worried!

Right now because he is only ten weeks and in with the girls that are only 4 weeks they all eat chick starter and bugs and sometimes food scraps and also a treat like mealworms. I check the poops all the time and all look healthy normal...

What else can I do to make sure they are getting the right kind of nutrition? His comb looks thick and heavy to me, I wonder what it could be?

From what you've described, it sounds like he just has a really big comb that is falling under it's own weight. If the comb is a really thin one, and stands really tall, the base isn't wide enough to hold the whole thing up.

He looks alert and healthy, I wouldn't be worried. The comb actually makes him look a bit rakish.

lol no, that little guy is Soot, my very first Barred Bantam Cochin. I believe he's about 7 to 8 weeks in that photo. He was such a little character, loving to be held and tickled. Unfortunately I can't have roos in my area, and had to give him to a nice lady from a farm outside of the city.

I keep the photo so I'll always have something to remind me of him. He was such a sweety.
