I got this hen a long time ago, I was told the breed but forgot 😩

Below is her son when he was still not fully adult. He was full breed because even though I got only the hen, she had a mate from the same breed and she got broody immediately after I got her (I wanted to buy the couple but someone came just before me and bought only the male 😑)

I say "full breed" because the seller told me they were full breed but I can't seem to find a breed looking exactly like them online so I suspect they were already mixed? I saw the male once quickly before he got bought by someone else, I think he shared her colours... Then why is the son this colour? I'm confused lol

Sorry but there is nothing CCL like about that chicken.
I also suspect it's a silkie mix which explains the crest.

My silkie mixes are sooo sweet, and my 2nd generation ones lay well too, at least every other day i get a medium cream or light brown, egg. I think mine are mixed with black australorp. ancona, and barred rock. Even the roos are docole so far. They are about a year old now.
And as far as broodiness goes none of those mixes have gone broody yet...only my full silkie has.
If you look at my avatar that is my pullet Dottie whose mom is silkie and dad is a 2nd gen. barred silkie mix. She is very close to lay now.
What I wanted to share is that silkie mixes can still be good layers and friendly in my experience.

Silkie cross.

Maybe a Satin/Satin cross.

Ok so I looked a bit more online and I think it might be a mix with Brabanter... The colours of the hen are rather similar. Also, I may remember wrong but I think the seller had mentioned something about a Dutch breed... so it would match with Brabanter.
