Got the 17 week old pullet who has started to sing me the egg song at Shipton's back in April I'm guessing she was about a week old anyone able to tell me what kind of pullet she is.........

What does the egg song sound like?

She is a Black Australorp. They are black and when they get in the sun, their feathers have a pretty green tint to them. They also have black legs.

I agree, Black Australorp...if the bottoms of her feet should be white rather that yellow. She will lay you lots of lovely brown eggs. I

Yea her feathers are really pretty in the sun like green and some purple...she started building a nest today and her egg songs like BAWK bawk bawk bawk and gets quieter then louder....funny thing is shes my least favorite of my hens....she was left to me by my sister in law who bought them then didn't want them so now i Have her but she gives and EXCELLENT stink eye I might add...does she look like shes getting close to laying??? those were taken last week so she is about 18 weeks now

You have to check the bottom of their feet.

If they are white she is an Australorp.

If they are yellow she is a Black Jersey Giant.
