What breed is she?

She's supposed to be a White Wyandotte, but why is there so much black on her tail and Wheat color around her necK?

It dosen't look like a wyandotte, but I am not very experienced with the breed. And the ameraucanas you have are Easter Eggers.

Thanks for your reply!! Oh, I thought Easter Eggers and Ameruacanas were the same thing. Curious, what's the difference?

They are supposed to be from a hatchery (bought them from a bee keeper, who also have LOTS of chickens0 Do hatheries sell mixed breeds? I'm curious what she is, but either way I'll love her and she'll lay eggs for my family

Easter Eggers have pea combs (occasionally you will find some with strait combs) lay blue, green or pink eggs, have a beard or muffs (once in a while you will find one that dosent have the beard gene so it is cleaned face, have green, yellow, or sometimes slate legs and they do not come in a certain set of color, they come in tons and tons of color combinations.They are mixes(mutts but I dont like to call them that) that carry the blue egg gene. Ameraucanas have pea combs, lay blue eggs, have muffs, have slate legs, come in 8 accepted color- black, blue, white, buff, silver, brown red, blue wheaten and wheaten. they also come in a few color projects.

I don't think hatcherys sell mixed breeds but I could be wrong.

Thanks for the info! I will post pics of this supposed White Wyandotte as she gets older. I've had 3 different groups of Easter Eggers (but I always thought they were Ameruacanas: now I know the difference!), but anyway they have mostly layed robin's egg blue eggs, or olive, but never pink! That would be fun to see. Hopefully one of these new birds will lay pinkish eggs.

Yes pink eggs are pretty. When my flock got attacked I lost both ofmy pink egg layers(both EEs) now all I have are brown egg layers . But I have chicks so I will soon again have my pretty eggs lol.
