I visited a friend yesterday who had this guy running around. When I asked what breed he was, she told me that he was a bantam. He is definitely a breed of bantam crossed with a standard breed, but anyone have any ideas as to which breeds?

Here's the only picture I have:

I think it's funny when people refer to bantams as a breed...lol.
If he's a cross, then there's really no telling what breeds he's mixed with. His size/weight would help, and of course coloring, leg coloring and number of toes, comb type, etc. When I see a generic bantam w/a single comb, I usually guess oegb mix of some kind... His coloring is very pretty.

Thanks for the replies! I think he's so gorgeous. (I'm unfamiliar with bantams and was trying to sex some of his chicks, but getting the babies to stand still so I can look at their combs is impossible.) He is single combed with four toes, leg color tends towards pink/white rather than yellow. To me he looked about 3-4lbs, smaller than the barred rock hens but larger than a pure bantam. I guess his coloring is kind of like a golden duckwing american game, maybe crossed with something barred or speckled?

he's not larger than a bantam. he looks like he does have game in him though
