What breed is this black rooster?

I adopted this rooster and hen and have no idea what they are. They eat A LOT.

They appear to be Black Australorps to me. Just my opinion.

The one in the back is not a Black Australorp. Does he have black legs? White soles? If so, he's a clean faced Ameraucana. He's got the body, pea comb, lack of wattles, and dewlap to prove it.

If his beard was picked out, you'd see a bare spot where the muffs are too.

But there isn't even a spacing for the muffs. . . Signifying that he's just a clean faced fluke, probably from poor breeding.

His legs are the exact same color as the hen's legs. I think he may be part Ameraucana because I got a gray hen with same comb and legs and she lays a green egg and they came from the same clutch. I wasn't sure because he is pure black.

So then he's an Easter Egger, and so would be the gray (blue is what we call it) hen.

I gotta say, I love that hen's expression! Like she's rolling her eyes at him crowing......"you HEAR what I have to put up with?"

Does she have scaley legs, or is it just artifact from the camera?
